Why we ship close to home.

Fruiting blocks and live spawn are perishable, living products, not shelf-stable goods. The longer one spends in transit, the more that shows in how it performs once it reaches you. That's the reasoning behind staying regional rather than chasing national reach on day one: a short trip means the block you receive is closer to the same block that left the grow room, not a version of it that sat in a warehouse. As we grow, that radius may widen -- but it'll widen because the logistics genuinely support it, not ahead of that.

A living block is more forgiving over a 1-2 day regional trip than a cross-country one. Every extra day in transit is another day of temperature swings, another hand-off between carriers, another chance for a delay to turn a manageable stretch into a damaging one. Staying close isn't about speed for its own sake -- it's about keeping the number of things that can go wrong between our grow room and your counter as small as possible.

Blocks travel sealed but not airtight, with enough structure around them to keep them from shifting, and enough ventilation that they're not sitting in their own trapped moisture. The goal is the same block that left the grow room, not one that's been steaming in a box for two days.
